So… why astrology?

Astrology has been a lifelong passion, handed down to me from the most brilliant astrologer I’ve ever met- my dad Steve. He was a relic of the Vietnam War era with a prophetic gift for chart casting.

Long before I was around, he had a weekly horoscope radio show, read birth charts professionalyl, and even used his practice to aid in the search for missing children. He conducted this work as The Aeon Group.

Steve raised me with astrology, even calculating my chart the day I was born. As a child, I remember spending evenings on the back deck with my father watching for shooting stars. During the hours we spent, eyes fixed on the stars overhead, he would point out planets and constellations.

“See that bright one there? That’s Venus. Right now it’s in Pisces.”

I’d sit in amazement as he’d recall every detail of this mental map he had of the heavens. On clear nights, we’d drag out his massive telescope. We’d stay up late to gaze at the moons of Jupiter and the rings of Saturn. Talking all the while about the phases of the moon, the zodiac, the planets and the ever-important angles between them.

When I reached my early twenties, I began to pursue these arts more obsessively on my own. But in a particularly cruel twist of fate, by the time I began to really comprehend the things he’d taught me, he himself had become too physically sick to engage much with the subject.

After his death in 2023, I felt a profound longing to delve deeper into the world of mysticism. As the dust of his cataclysmic passing settled, I realized that astrology was a one of the pieces of him that is still most alive through me. By picking up where The Aeon Group left off, I could honor my dad and bring his essence into the future with me.

This is where the vision for Aeon Astrology was born.
